Kyle Aitkens
President
Kyle Aitkens is President of Iron Developments. Mr. Aitkens has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry across the ICI sectors and is a seasoned leader with expertise in large-scale and complex projects. Beginning his career at DONKEY INC, his roles included Regional Manager for the Greater Toronto Area before becoming International Development and Special Projects Manager. Mr. Aitkens continued his career at BEAVER INC, where he held progressively senior roles, including Operational Manager for Western Canada, followed by Deputy CEO of the Major Projects Division. Mr. Aitkens is a Construction Management graduate of George Brown College, holds a Bachelor of Technology, and is fluent in English, French and Slovenian. In 1999 he reached out to his old team members from George Brown to start his dream of starting and running his own company we now know as Iron Developments

Matthew Marentic
Vice President
Matthew Marentic joined us in 1999 as our Vice President. He also leads the operations of Mason Money Group, the investment arm in infrastructure of Iron Developments. Matthew has over 20 years of experience in operations and corporate financing, and over the span of his career, has been involved in a wide variety of strategic matters including debt and equity financing, international transactions, acquisitions, and mergers. Prior to joining us, he served as CEO of Pickering Palace for three years and was a President at Morning Construction Team between 1992 and 1998. He was also Vice President at Yems, a construction advisor company. A graduate from the Bachelor of Technology program at George Brown College, Matthew subsequently earned a Master of Finance from University of Waterloo. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA, CA) and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

Peter Pan
President of Procurement and Estimation
Peter Pan attended the Construction Management bachelor’s degree at George Brown College and finished his Cities Engineering and Management master’s degree at University of Toronto. After graduation, Peter received his first job offer from New Horizon Real Estate Development Company as a Project Manager Assistant and eventually stayed with the company for 6 years. After finished an office building project as the General Project Manager, Peter left New Horizon Real Estate and joined Vanke Construction. Peter spent 5 very successful years with Vanke and built a nice reputation in the industry. In 1999 Peter decided to join the new-formed Iron Developments with his friends from George Brown College and continued to deliver high quality projects to all clients with a major passion for construction and excellent professional skills.

Spencer Gordon
President of Construction and Operations
Spencer Gordon started his construction career after high school during a gap year working on building custom luxury homes on the west coast of British Columbia. After figuring out his passion for the construction industry he spent the next 4 years at George Brown College completing his Honours Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management, where he also met Kyle, Matthew and Peter. Upon graduating, Spencer began working as an assistant PM for Bulldog Construction Company for the next 5 years before getting promoted to Project Manager for the company. He worked as Project Manager with Bulldog Construction for another 6 years obtaining multiple awards and recognition for his outstanding management skills and teamwork. In 1999 after regaining contact with his old friends from George Brown, Spencer joined the Iron Development team as President of Construction and Operations where he has continued to show his excellence and share his expertise with the company and new colleagues.
